This was really a fun photoshoot to do, since Senjougahara looks great from many sides and angles. Just starting off with the standard pose here. ^^

Ahh!! She has so many details, it’s difficult to know where to look first! Unless you’re a pantsu fan, then maybe it’d be a little easier… xD

But everything is very beautiful, too.

And of course, gotta love all the school utensils falling from her skirt. This is the main reason why I am not planning on switching Senjougahara’s pose to the one with the staplers in her hands; the utensils wouldn’t fit quite right without her holding her skirt. But it’s still cute! (No photos of that here, unfortunately.)

By the way, Bakemonogatari is an excellent anime. I’m sure most people have heard the same, but just stating my opinion as well! Haven’t read the light novels myself, though.

By the way, of course, Good Smile Company is releasing all of the main female cast in figure form(most definitely want to save up for Kanbaru! ^^), but I wonder if the folks over there will consider making an Araragi as well…? ;_; Yeah probably not, but we can wish. ^^;;

Anyway, this Senjougahara is a must get for fans, of course! She’s a very popular one, even with people who haven’t watched the anime(but I assume most do indeed watch Bakemonogatari)! This is one of my favorite Good Smile figures, as well as one of my favorites overall!

And that concludes the photoshoot! I hope ya’ll enjoyed the photos. ^^ Was fun to make as well, as stated earlier! This PVC gal is quite the gem!! \^o^/

Soon, I will be making another post–I’m expecting multiple packages to arrive this coming week. Alright, let’s continue. Today, I placed everything on my bed again…more room, yknow? A-ahh! The boxes for both are lovely!

Backs of the boxes. By the way, the mail-person was late today! I came home thinking they weren’t going to arrive(since they always get here before I come home), but then she showed up. ‘Twas very exciting!

Enough chatter, let’s dig in! Gyaaaa. Had to put new batteries in the camera before I opened these babies up, so I was delayed a bit. Too much excitement!

Da da da da…! I have taken off the plastic wrapping. So…shiny… Left my hand there for size reference.

Now we’ve opened it for real! The goodies and game itself comes packed very neatly. I almost felt bad taking it all out–let alone even opening the plastic wrap on the box in the first place. It’s so nice, though. I’d say between the extras in this limited pack, and if you are a big Togainu fan like myself, it’s definitely worth the few extra bucks.

Closer look at the beautiful artwork on the game’s cover. I have yet to open the plastic wrapping on this, thus the lack of photos of the disc and manual. Maybe some other time?

The main reason I decided to get the limited edition over the normal edition was, well, because of the limited Akira Nendoroid petit. Being that there are only about 9000 pieces, I really needed to get him in my collection ASAP.

Whoa, whoa! Here he is out of the plastic! What a cutie!! Also comes with a cool strap as well. It’s a little big to have on my phone(since I always carry it in my pocket), but any extra makes me happy. ^^

Nendo petit Akira chillin’ next to the game case. (Gah! Sorry for so many fuzzy photos!) He comes with a little stand like all others, and his knife. It’s so cute here! He’s so cute! Haha And it didn’t hurt to get poked by it(…at least, not as much as the 1/10 scale Akira’s knife).

He’s fitting in already! Only 4 Akiras at the moment, but there are more on the way. ^^

By the way, it’s been very snowy here. Not a surprise at all, haha ^^; But still. I can’t think of a recent day when it didn’t snow!! @_@;

The weather makes for good photo potential, however. I do enjoy looking at it, but walking out in it every morning…not so much. ^^;

Back on track with the merch. Here’s just a few photos of the Togainu no Chi 1st big pillow! I preordered it back in September, and it arrived in November or something. I love this pillow! Mine is still in the plastic cover though, because I don’t want the boys to get dirty or anything. Not quite sure how I would clean something like this…

Obviously, it doesn’t work well as a normal pillow you’d want to sleep on. But again, great for fans, or someone who just wants a pillow with nice bishies on it! Either way, it’s a fine size, and the print quality is very good. The artwork is based off of the 2nd Shiki ending in the visual novel.

This is my favorite side… xD ^^;

Now for the online-shop exclusive bathroom Sweet Pool poster. As the term “bathroom poster” suggests, it IS waterproof. Not that I would put this in my bathroom anyway. I looove the art. Sweet Pool is an amazing visual novel. Loved every bit. I’m almost kind of worried to put it up, incase it may get damaged!!

GAH?! “Sweet POO”?! I didn’t notice until now!! I should have looked at where my camera was pointing… Let this be a lesson for all… orz

Anyway, a few pictures of Figma Love Machine! I had been waiting for his release since he was announced. Summer Wars is an awesome movie. I recommend everyone who has yet to see it, to do so. Great, great! It can be seen that Love Machine is packed with LOTS of stuff. It’s no wonder why he is a bit more expensive than most Figma!

When I took him out of the box, I noticed how well of a job Max Factory did with his articulation–especially the pants. Our ol’ buddy Snow Villiers has pants similar to Love Machine’s, but Snow is difficult to pose, especially in fighting stances. This was expected though, that Max Factory always makes things work! Also, LM’s spear-thinger is super taaaaaall. I don’t even know how to make room for that! ^^; But I love this Figma so far. Probably my most favorite yet! Everything is perfect.

Of course, Love Machine himself is pretty tall. Tallest Figma yet? Unsure. Saber can barely reach his head! ^^; Better luck next time, Saber…

Aha! Surprise! Think I would forget about the GSC Black Rock Shooter photoshoot, did you? Enjoy some preview photos! These were taken before my camera died on me a few days ago, though…I’ll get around to re-setting up again soon!

It’s me, Kanon, back with an update after a long(or rather, short) year. Leaving my blog like that is…almost inexcusable, and I am hoping to get things kick-started once more. I’ll get more to that when I have more time, for now: New figures from this lovely figure season! More in the post!

Just today something very nice happened to me, which all us figure collectors love–the mailman left some mysterious packages on my doorstep! Of course, I had been eyeing the shipment tracking for a few days, so it was no surprise, but even so…yay! ^^ To be honest, it’s been a year since I have recieved packages like this. Part of the reason why I had been so lazy to update. Last school year was a tough one, and I wasn’t ever feeling in the mood at all to relax much. Very busy. It was a tough one indeed.

This year is much better though! From now on, high soaring for all! And soon it is officially a new year…2011! Crazy huh? Anyway, Aegis and I were both looking forward to Metis for a long time. Here she is welcoming her very own sister and Natsume.

But for now, let’s take a closer look at Alter’s Takashi Natsume from their ALTAIR line! The front of his box opens up like so. Such a beautiful box design! (I had to put him on the floor to take a picture of it ^^;.)

After minutes of struggling and thinking of how to open the box, I finally get him out! Hmmm the “new figure” smell~ How I missed it!

The details on everything, especially his coat-thing and the base, are incredibly well done. There’s Alter for ya! By the way, everyone have a nice Christmas? Mine was relaxing and fun. I didn’t do much, but even so.

This figure is really impressive, I can’t wait to see more of Alter’s Altair line! We need more male figures in this world! Haha ^^

Ahhh so gorgeous! Will do a photoshoot soon. Even already got some paper to use as backgrounds. I also have many more goodies on the way. Including Figma Love Machine and soon, Goodsmile’s Senjougahara. Ooo more figures to take photos of!

12/16/09 EDIT: YES!!!! I have WON Dollfie Dream Mito Mashiro!! TTOTT I’m so happy!! Seriously I yelled “YES!” and nearly cried when I saw the email!

After being bombarded with homework the past couple days, I have finally been finishing a lot more sketches(woohoo!)! Was going to post this a couple days ago, but then my internet failed on me–and then yesterday I was working on homework for hours on end. Thank you to all of you patient folks!

This post consists of some Original Character sketches, enjoy! ^^ Warning: there’s pantsu in this post!

I haven’t been coloring drawings lately, which explains the delay of the CGs… ^^;;

Before I draw clothing on characters, they must first be drawn in their pantsu ^^; Which explains this. But anyways, I’ll let the sketches speak for themselves, I need to get back to homework! By the way, these are all posted in order from newest to oldest.

Alright, that’s it for now! Winter break is coming soon(in about a week and a half) and I’ll get a lot of time to be drawing. Some of the older sketches(the last few) have some pretty obvious anatomy mistakes, but I hope you all can see that I’m trying my best and getting better(first few sketches)! ^^

Also, unrelated, after being delayed many many months, Alter’s Rise Kujikawa and GSC’s Black Rock Shooter(two figures I’ve had on order for nearly half a year now) are finally being released within the next week! So do expect some more photoshoots soon-ish ^^ It’s been awhile since the last photoshoot, eh? ^^; Anyways, no news yet on Mito Mashiro so hopefully in the next few days. Will post an update around the 16th on my Twitter or update the post here.

Hello all, as you may or may not have known, I’ve been wanting my own BJD or Dollfie Dream for a little while now. It’s been a hard decision but I thought I’d announce that I have entered Volks USA’s lottery for Dollfie Dream Mashiro Mito! If I win her, Mashiro shall be my first Dollfie ^^ (Hmmm any advice?)

Each box comes with a total of 10 figures. They may be randomized, however mine were not, probably because it was from the first run(?). I think most of the boxes sold after the first some are actually randomized…

Okay enough talk, let’s take this one! I choose you!!

Almost forgot, the sides of the mini-boxes show the total types. Plus a “mystery” figure! OooOooOo

Alright! First one up is Military Shiki. Each figure comes well packaged along with a collectable card.

And here he is! (Please excuse my dusty desk ^^; ) Shiki is the only one that isn’t attached to the base and his chair. So he falls easily if moved. Be careful with him!

Pajama Akira! There’s a more rare striped-shirt version of him, but they’re both super cute! His shirt is removable.

This is the secret figure! Yukihito from Togainu no Chi: True Blood. He’s my favorite out of this bunch!

Zenya Okinaga. Notice how each figure has a different base that is relative to their character!

Makoto Mita. It’s hard to tell here, but his base has sodas and snacks on it.

Tetsuo Shironuma…My favorite character in Sweet Pool after playing the game! That’s an umbrella he’s holding. From the scene with him and Youji walking back to Youji’s place in the rain ^^

And that concludes it! These adorable boys are wonderful for fans of the games. They are pretty small but really really detailed. Hopefully Kotobukiya is considering making some scale Sweet Pool figures

Next post shall consist of more art–it’s been awhile since I’ve posted sketches. ^^; Anyways, am looking forward to Thanksgiving break. Delicious turkey lunch ahooooy! Everyone have a good week!

Heyhey, look who’s back with another post! Halloween was just last weekend and a few of my friends and I planned to get together to order pizza at Friendie’s house and walk to my place to hang out. I decided to bring my camera and recently arrived Figma Kanu along. ^o^

Here, at Friendie’s house, Kanu first met some new buddies. Like Neuro(who could just barely reach her hand ^^; ) …..

After eating and watching a bit of TV, we went outside to snap some photos of the pond nearby. It was a beautiful day outside, just a bit windy!

I stood on a bridge that goes over the pond to take photos. Beary cute geese were on one side of the pond! These ones didn’t like people approaching them very much.

The ducks, however, swam over to us thinking we had food for them!

It’s been a long while since my last post–mainly because of all of the school work I’ve been getting. ^^; I would’ve taken more photos, but I actually didn’t do anything more for halloween–twas too low on cash to get a costume and Trick-or-Treat!(yes I still trick-or-treat ^^; ) It was fun eating the candy that was left over after handing some out to the kids.

Anyone else do anything fun on Halloween? I’ve been meaning to ask this before! ^^

If you all remember how crowded my side-table, desk, and etc., well lookie here! Just yesterday I got my shelves put together, and it’s a lot more organized than before, that’s for sure ^^;

I will probably change them around once every month or so, but for now, these are the girlies that guard the top! This shelf was supposed to be lime-green, but it looks gray in the sunlight ^^;

Would’ve left space for a couple of figures that were supposed to come out very soon–but they have been delayed, so…^^; Anyways, these are the girls, boys, and mechas in the middle shelves. Not too organized…^^;

There is still plenty of room on my wardrobe! My trading figures will reside here for now. By the way, the ‘Lujah Shrine is still growing–8 more on the way!

This morning I had stumbled out of bed. I was tired and drowzy. But once I glanced out the window…Snow!! Everywhere! At the beginning of October?! No way! Unfortunately, it didn’t hit me to take pictures until late afternoon, when most of it melted away. But still, enjoy!

Miku and I were a bit cold when we stepped outside. The weather sure did make a huuuge turn-around since my last update! How’s the weather were you all are? Minnesota is pretty unpredictable with weather ^^;
